s106 Star Formation Region

This image was taken using NIRSPEC's slit viewing camera. The image is a mosaic of 360 0.2 second integrations, imaged in the H (1.65 mm) and Ks (2.2 mm) bands. Unlike raw frames from the slit viewing camera, the spectrometer slit is not visible in the mosaic since the large number of frames allows the slit to be 'averaged' out.
